Cím: Az információs társadalom történetisége Absztrakt: A tanulmány az információs társadalom szakirodalmának szinte az egészén végigvonuló, szokatlanul erős ahistoricitásra és az információs társadalom elméletének az idő- és térkezeléssel összefüggő fogalomkezelési ellentmondásaira hívja a figyelmet. Három jelenségcsoportot vizsgál, ezeket „jövő-túlsúlyosságnak”, „hiper-történetiségnek” és „fals szinkronicitásnak”nevezi. Részletesen elemzi a jövő-túlsúlyosság okait (szám szerint hetet), bemutatja, miért káros a diskurzusnak az, ha a huszadik század közepe helyett egyre régebbi történelmi korszakokba, esetleg földműves kultúrákba vagy épp iparosodófélben lévő országokba „látnak bele” információs társadalmat. Cím: On the historicity of the information society Absztrakt: The paper draws attention to the amazing lack of historical perspective in most of the literature on the information society and to the consequent conceptual contradictions concerning time and space in relevant theories. The author analyzes the following three groups of phenomena: ahistorical overweight of the future, hyper-historicity, and false synchronicity. He discusses in detail seven reasons for overemphasizing the future, and points out why it has deleterious effects to inject concepts of an information society into societies that existed well before the mid-20th century, even into agricultural societies or into those at the brink of industrialization.
