Subtitle: Rendszerező széljegyzetek egy ígéretesen induló párbeszédhez
Abstract: A vitaösszegző esszé szerzője először az információs társadalom fogalmának politikai-közéleti diskurzusához szól hozzá, majd három részre bontja a társadalomelméleti reflexiót. Formációelméleti, fejlődéselméleti és „információs társadalom tudományi” irányokat elkülönítve eltávolít az információs társadalom narratívájából számos olyan – egyébként tudományos igényű – megközelítést, amelyeket hagyományosan oda sorol az irodalom. Ugyanakkor beemeli az információ és tudás jelenségcsaládjának ontológiai és kognitív dimenzióját, amelyeknek az igényes művelése nélkül a fogalmi tisztázatlanság megszüntetése nehezen remélhető.

Title: In the network of narratives
Subtitle: scholia to methodize a promising dialogue
Abstract: The author of this recapitulatory essay first comments on the ongoing public controversy on the interpretation of the term „information society", then analyses the reflections on the part of social theory, breaking them down into three distinct strata. Distinguishing between the schools of the theories of social formations, evolutional theories, and „information society studies", he relegates from the narrative of the information society several, otherwise scientifically sound approaches, which are usually represented in the discourse in professional literature. At the same time, he proposes the inclusion of the ontological and cognitive dimensions of the concepts (and the complex phenomena) of information and knowledge, claiming that without the exigent cultivation of these aspects, the conceptual elucidation of the verbiage presently characteristic of the field can hardly be expected.
