Cím: Az „új gazdaság” esélyei az átalakuló országokban Absztrakt: A cikk az „új gazdaság” gazdaságfejlődési hozzájárulását elemzi. Abból a megállapításból indul ki, hogy az „új gazdaság” máshogy tör utat magának egy fejlesztő és máshogy egy felhasználó országban, de azt is hangsúlyozza, hogy a világgazdaság jelentős része teljesen kimarad az „új gazdaság" fejlődéséből. Megvizsgálja, hogy az „új gazdaság” kiépüléséhez milyen technikai feltételek állnak rendelkezésre a világon, valamint, hogy az új évtized közepe felé milyen az „új gazdaság” gazdasági szerepe Magyarországon és a kelet-közép-európai térségben.

Cím: Prospects of the 'new economy' in some countries in transition Absztrakt: The article analyses the contribution of the 'new economy' to economic progress. Its underlying idea is that in innovative countries the 'new economy' is emerging in such ways which are different from those to be seen in others that are just applying existing technologies. Besides, it points out that a considerable part of the world economy does not take part in this evolution. It also examines the technologies presently available in the world that can be used to build up the 'new economy'; and analyses the economic role of the 'new economy' in the new decade in Hungary and in the countries of the Central-East European region.
