| Abstract |
Az elmúlt években az információs társadalommal kapcsolatos elméletek lassú kiüresedésének lehettünk tanúi. Nem arról van szó, hogy elapadt az ezeket tápláló intellektuális muníció. Még ma is születnek friss és újszerű megközelítések, az információs társadalom fogalmát azonban túl sokan, túl sokfelé és túl sokféle célra kezdték el használni, ami menthetetlenül kikezdte korábbi szerepét. Emellett az is nyilvánvaló, hogy a szociológia is csak jelentős fáziskéséssel, az eredendő idegenkedés és szűklátókörűség legyőzése után kezdett el behatóbban foglalkozni a témával. Ez a kezdeti bénultság azonban a mai napig érezteti hatását. Az információs társadalom elméleteiben, illetve a szociológia szerepfelfogásában bekövetkezett átrendeződés rövid felvázolását követően a tanulmány szerzői az idevágó elméletek olyan koncepciója mellett tesznek hitet, amely nem aspirál az önálló diszciplína rangjára, viszont a legkülönbözőbb tudományterületekből kiinduló kutatások számára közös nyelvet, problémafelvetést és szemléletet kínál.

| Abstract (translation) |
In the last few years we witnessed the slow emptying of the theories related to information society. It is not that the world have run out of intellectual ammunition. Fresh and new approaches are still coming into existence, but as the concept of information society is used by too many people, in too many places, and for too many purposes, the notion itself started to deteriorate. It is also evident that sociology reacted slowly and dealt with the problem only after it had overcome its inherent reluctance and narrowness. The effects of this delay are apparent even today. The present article aims at demonstrating the transformations eventuating in the theories of information society and the changes taking place in the role of sociology itself. The authors profess themselves to be supporters of such a theory that doesn't claim the status of an independent discipline, but offers a common language, approach and attitude for researches working in diverse branches of science.
