Abstract	A cikk a pedagógus-továbbképzés gyakorlati vetületét mutatja be. Azt elemzi, hogy a jelenlegi továbbképzési rendszer mennyire tud eleget tenni napjaink kihívásainak, az európai és hazai oktatásfejlesztési elvárásoknak. Feltárja az ellentmondásokat, rámutatva a szakmai hiányosságokra és arra, hogy ezen a téren milyen módon sérül a pedagógusok esélyegyenlősége. A továbbképzés megújítása és hatékonyabbá tétele érdekében a szerző a távoktatás lehetőségeinek felhasználását javasolja, s egyben megfogalmazza a javaslatainak megvalósításához szükséges fejlesztési feladatokat.
Abstract (translation)	This article shows the practical side of the further training of teachers. It analyzes how our existing system can meet today's challenges and the European and domestic requirements for the development of education. It reveals contradictions and points out professional deficiencies. It also shows that teachers do not have equal opportunities in this respect. For increasing efficiency through innovation, the author proposes the utilization of the possibilities offered by distance teaching and learning. At the same time, she identifies the development tasks required for implementing the suggested innovation.
