Abstract	A koreai információs társadalmon belül számos olyan jelenség figyelhető meg, melyek kifejezetten ezen rendkívüli mértékben behálózott távol-keleti országra jellemző, tanulmányomban így általam választott hat, koreai kultúra-specifikus jelenséget vizsgálok. Ezen jelenségek a digitalizálás hatása a koreai írásra; a centralizált közösségi média; az internet szerepe koreai populáris zene, k-pop terjedésében; az online elérhető tartalmak iránti fizetési hajlandóság; a számítógépes játékok és a specifikus játékhelyszínek – a PC-bangok kiemelt szerepe, valamint a koreai információs társadalom jellegzetes negatív jelenségei.
Abstract (translation)	Korea tops wireless broadband ranking and the country is on path toward the realization of a ubiquitous network society. Due to its unique culture, a number of issues specific for Korean information society can be observed. I my study I look at six Korean culture-specific phenomena. I firstly analyze the impact of digitization on Korean writing; secondly present centralized social media; thirdly discuss the role of the Internet behind the success of k-pop; fourthly examine the willingness to pay for online digital content. Finally I examine computer game and PC bang (PC rooms) popularity in Korea, as well as point out the negative phenomena associated with Korean information society.
