Abstract	Philip E. Agre a világon egyre terjedő arcfelismerő rendszerek üzemeltetése ellen száll síkra, tételesen cáfolva a térfigyelő kamerák működtetése mellett legtöbbször hangoztatott érveket. Elemzi a térfigyelő rendszerek működésének elégtelenségét, és a privát szférát, az emberi méltóságot és a demokráciát veszélyeztető eszközként írja le ezeket. A cikk a hazánkban is egyre több helyen alkalmazott arcfelismerő rendszerek veszélyeire hívja fel a figyelmet.
Abstract (translation)	Philip E. Agre takes a stand against the more and more widespread use of face recognition systems. He lists the most common arguments in favour of using surveillance cameras systems, confuting each in tum. He proceeds to analyze the insufficiencies in the operation of surveillance systems and describes these as devices that jeopardize privacy, human dignity and democracy. The article is an eye-opener to the dangers of face recognition systems, which are used more and more widely in Hungary as well.
