Title: Az intelligens virtuális valóság (smart VR) kapujában? Subtitle: A mesterséges intelligencia és a virtuális valóság bibliometriai analízise a Scopus nemzetközi szakirodalmi adatbázisban Abstract: A mesterséges intelligencia (AI) és a virtuális valóság (VR) témái körül hatalmas ér-deklődés koncentrálódik. A Scopus tudományos adatbázisban nemzetközi szintenlétrejött hatalmas mennyiségű anyag (big data) deskriptív áttekintése emberi erővelcsaknem kivitelezhetetlen, így szükségessé vált annak bibliometriai analízise.

Title: At the Gate of Smart Virtual Reality? Subtitle: A Bibliometric Analysis of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality in the Scopus International Scientific Database Abstract: There is increasing interest on Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Virtual Reality (VR).Given the vast amount of scientific output (Big Data), a comprehensive descriptiveoverview is nearly impossible to carry out manually. The aim of this research is toanalyze Scopus records related to AI, VR, and their intersecting fields, with a particu-lar focus on temporal trends, disciplinary distribution, and the most prolific authors, and countries. The search was conducted on July 18 2025. A total of 915,098 recordswere processed using bibliometric analysis methods. The results show a steadily in-creasing interest in AI, VR, and their intersection over time. The USA, China, the UK,India, and Germany emerge as the most active countries. The top three disciplinesare computer science, engineering, and mathematics. These findings lay the ground-work for deeper content analysis and the exploration of potential synergies betweenAI and VR, often referred to as „smart VR”.
