Title: Médiademokrácia és szociális ökológia
Abstract: A médiademokrácia és a szociális ökológia közti szembeötlő kapcsolatot járja körül a cikk, a média és a környezetvédelem négy összefüggése mentén: pl. a kelet-közép-európai roma nemzetiséggel kapcsolatban, ha nem is éppen úgy, mint az USA-beli afroamerikai minoritás esetében, de szintén felmerül a környezeti igazságtalanság. A média kommunikatív és társadalomformáló szerepe segíthet a probléma feloldásában; társadalmi szinten a szociális ökológia és a médiademokrácia szorosan összekapcsolódik; a környezeti nevelés és a média nevelő szerepe szintén fontos tényező; a gazdaság relokalizációját illetően, a környezetvédelem szintjén pl. a permakultúrát érdemes kiemelni, míg a médiával kapcsolatban a helyi média szerepét.

Title: Media Democracy and Social Ecology
Abstract: There is a manifest relationship between media democracy and social ecology. Environmental protection and the media are strongly interrelated: e.g., health conditions of the Roma minority in East-Central Europe reflects environmental injustice. It is not the same as, though quite similar to, the environmental injustice concerning the Afro-American minority in the USA. Informative and societal opinion-shaping functions of the media may lend a hand to resolve this problem. In this regard, environmental education and the educational role of the media are of high importance. Concerning economic relocalization, e.g. permaculture should be mentioned at the level of environmental protection, whereas regarding potential media influence, the role of local media seems to be relevant.
